The Ruggle has a cosy interior with 3 main rooms; bar, lounge and the old bar now used for food with an open fire. It has friendly staff and good traditional food. The Rugglestone is very popular and therefore booking is advised.

Art at the Ruggle

We have lots of paintings from local artist displayed at the inn many of which are on sale. We also display a collection of limited edition illustrations from the artist Pamela Coleman Smith who was famous for painting tarot cards in the eighteenth century. The paintings which were her interpretation of 'Widecombe Fair' were printed by hand in 1898 by Lamson, Wolffe and Company, publishers from Boston,  New York and London. Our set No. 138 were kindly donated to us so that they can be enjoyed by all.
